Eau Claire - We all know the joy of opening Christmas presents. But staff members at Grace Edgewood Assisted Living are making sure the residents have a wonderful holiday season.
“It’s so heartwarming to see the smiles and sometimes tears when our residents open their presents. For some, they don’t have any other family members in the area so getting a gift is very special,” said Director Jamie Larson.
The staff members use their own money to buy gifts for the residents.
“Our staff members care so much about their residents. In a way, they become like family. Our mission is to take care of our friends and neighbors. This is just another way to say thank you to our residents and their families,” Larson said.
Grace Lutheran Communities has been helping our friends and neighbors in communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1960. The non-profit organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, child care, independent living, and adult day services.
