Community Involvement Brings Unforgettable Memories for Grace Residents
Posted 7/7/2017
The Chippewa Valley welcomes Grace Lutheran Communities residents during several enjoyable events throughout the year. These events range from attending the concert series at Phoenix Park to field trips to local farms during lambing season.
Karen Park, a program leader for Grace Lutheran Communities, states “Since I have worked for Grace Lutheran Communities for 16 years, I am amazed to see all the places that we have been able to take our residents throughout the years.”
By attending these events, the Grace Lutheran Communities, residents, and clients are rewarded with an abundance of joy, as well as the opportunity to attend and take part in outings in the Eau Claire area.
Previous outings include eating at local restaurants, attending concerts at Phoenix Park and Owen Park, picnics at Irvine Park, attending the farmer’s market, viewing local artist exhibits at UW-Eau Claire, pontoon rides with the Christian Outdoors Men at River View Park, fishing trips to Lake Altoona and Bullfrog Fish Farm (Menomonie), attending plays put on at the State Theatre, and several more events in the Chippewa Valley.
These are only a handful of the experiences that residents have partaken in over the years, and one event that Park states
These unforgettable memories are a part of what makes Grace Lutheran Communities residents and staff so special.
Grace Lutheran Communities has been helping our friends and neighbors in communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1960. The non-profit organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, child care, independent living, and adult day services.
