Residents Deliver Holiday Cookies to Brighten Spirits
Posted 12/21/2015
The holiday season is a time for giving and residents of Grace Lutheran Communites gave back by baking and delivering delicious holiday cookies for people who don’t have a home, much less an oven of their own where they can bake. “We have such a wonderful time baking these cookies for folks. They truly are made with love”, said Grace Apartments Director Sue Abboud.
On December 18, the cookies made by residents were dropped off to Hope Gospel men’s & women’s shelters, Beacon House and Sojourner House. Men and women who go to Grace Adult Day Services in Chippewa Falls and Altoona added to the holiday joy by creating handmade cards for clients at the Sojourner House.
Abboud added, “If something simple like these cookies and cards can lift someone’s spirits during this joyous time of year, than all the hard work has been worth it. We are committed to serving others in all that we do, and this follows our mission and values at Grace.”
