Andy Griffith Themed Car Show at Prairie Pointe

Last week, a local classic car show made a stop at Grace Lutheran Communities - Prairie Pointe to remind residents of a simpler time.
"We were excited for Ken Anderson, the Mayberry Guru, to bring a little bit of “The Andy Griffith Show” to our residents,” said Prairie Pointe Activities Director Karen Park.
Anderson is a retired elementary teacher. Following his early retirement due to some health issues, he wrote a book entitled “Mayberry Reflections the Early Years” about each episode of the first four years of the classic TV show “The Andy Griffith Show”.
Anderson spends much of his time traveling around west central Wisconsin participating in more than 40 town festivals, parades, and car shows every year in his replica Barney Fife Uniform.
“I enjoy taking my audiences back to a much simpler and innocent time and place as I share my memories of growing up in a small midwestern community just like the good folks of Mayberry,” Anderson says.
Grace Lutheran Communities has been helping our friends and neighbors in communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1960. The non-profit organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, child care, independent living, and adult day services.
